Paul White，1992年获得英国南安普敦大学声与振动研究所博士学位，现任南安普敦大学声与振动研究所所长，教授。保罗博士的主要研究方向为信号处理，水声学和生物声学，在其领域内取得了较大的成就，发表学术论文350余篇，参与撰写8本著作，担任英国海洋科学协作委员会水下噪声论坛成员和军用水声评估论坛成员。
报告摘要：
Carbon capture and storage is a technology that mitigates the increasing the levels of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. The use of depleted marine hydrocarbon fields to store capture carbon dioxide is an attractive proposition. For such technology to be adopted these fields needs to be monitored for leakage and acoustics provides a useful toolset to achieve this.
This seminar will describe a sequence of projects which are directed at demonstrating the effectiveness of passive and active acoustics in this application.
